The Farm Bureau Expo would like to thank Mayor Hutto and the those that he collaborated with to lead our county through this pandemic. It is our sincerest hope that this note finds each of you doing well, healthy and ready to ease into the beautiful Fall season!
Circumstances continue to evolve at the Farm Bureau Expo Center, as is the case around the country. The Farm Bureau Expo Center is excited to have our doors open for the enjoyment of our vendors, event planners, and their guests. Our commitment to the Tennessee Pledge enables us to ensure the health and safety of our employees, vendors and their guests, while providing an environment that provides for holding and attending events with confidence.
I have had the pleasure to email and/or speak to a handful of you over the past couple weeks regarding the Governor of Tennessee’s recent COVID update and how that may or may not affect current and upcoming events. Since that time, I have received updated information that I believe is important to get into your hands so you have the tools you need to plan accordingly.
“Masks are Required” signage will remain in place – We believe that this is the responsible approach to mitigate the spread of the virus at this time. This will apply to staff, event planners, vendors and guests.
All COVID health related signage will remain posted – Advocating for the protection, health and safety of everyone is aligned with our commitment to the TN Pledge.
We will continue to have separate doors for entry and exit.
Temperature checks are required when visiting the Administrative offices at the Expo. They are optional, but encouraged for event planners to implement at their event. If anyone should present with a fever per the CDC guidelines, their name and contact info will be documented for the health safety of all involved.
Water fountains remain in an out of order status.
Social distancing at 6’ is recommended as much as possible. When 6’ is not possible, masks should be worn
Capacity limits will be determined on an event and set up basis given no two events are identical.
Sanitizing stations remain in place, as well as the increased routine to keep multi-touch points wiped down continues
Event planners should be prepared to monitor any crowding in the bathrooms
Event planners are encouraged to make routine announcements about masks/social distancing during the event (similar to many retailers)
I hope this helps in understanding how to navigate the changes. We are here to help in any way we can and always open to your questions as together we work through changes for the protection of all.
